HIGH PERFORMANCE
Our High-Performance Development Program was designed to identify potential athletes within a variety of sporting codes and develop them to be able to compete against the best of the best within the respective sporting code
High Performance framework
Our High-Performance Framework has been split into two separate categories, namely Academics, Education & Training & Athletic and Personal Development. Within these two categories, we are able to personalize the development plan for each athlete / sports person training under Schola SA. The pathways as indicated here below are key identifying factors in this development plan for each athlete.
Athletic & personal development
Academics / education & training
Mass Participation & Development
Unlike the conventional development pathways represented by many sporting federations, we have designed a pathway which looks at the development of the athlete from a Bottom-Up Approach. This means that a greater emphasis is placed on the lower tier development, which is where the athletes are generally identified.

In other words, through our development pathway, a great amount of investment is made during the first two phases of Mass Participation & High-Performance Development to ensure that we create opportunities for as many sports persons to participate in the various porting codes. From here we are able to identify promising athletes who then are put through their paces in our HP Development program where they are introduced to the life and investments required to perform at the highest level within the sport.
HP Specific & Elite
During the High Performance Specific & Elite phases of the pathway, athletes are considered to be in a category where training to compete is no longer a focus, but rather training to win. It is during these phases where athletes will receive the support as depicted in our High-Performance Framework.
In turn, this would signify that while we are investing heavily during the Mass Participation and HP Development Phases, the biggest chunk of the monetary investments is made during these two phases where the athlete is training at a higher intensity and where the sport has become a professional career, requiring and demanding greater investment in the athlete themselves and their livelihood.

We recognize that despite the fact that all participating sports persons would want to fall within these two phases, we have designed a clear criteria consisting of various factors such as the sporting code, level of performances, ranking systems where there are existing ranking systems, the athletes' capabilities and the inputs of the professional teams surrounding the athlete who would be able to confirm any advancements in the athletes abilities and capabilities.
